Note that as an author (I'm not sure what I write) self-doubt is going to be inevitable no matter how good you get (not food stupid fingers).
I'd like to think I could write Anna-Marie like this one guy did Lucy, but I feel like the more novellas and shorts I've written a lot of my style tends to focus less on the on screen gore (as much of a double standard as that sounds.)
The gore was not what made Elfen Lied work, it was definitely the character development.
Which is said because there is almost nothing about Boeglin in English beside a sexist website and another place you have to translate. But I don't want to translate, I just want a good true to history Boeglin novel. Or any number of women threatened by or actually guillotined. (I prefer guillotined, but that's what alternate history is for.)
I only wrote her as a kind of futuristic alternate history love mate as a vehicle for explaining me suicidal tendencies until recently.
But I'm not sure if I could give Anna-Marie the humanness she really deserves in a character. I kind of made her a kind of Annabelle Lee figure, which is really strange as I'm sure she's nothing like that.
Like I said, Poefluence.
